Walter William Brill served during the Great War with the 1/4th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment on the Western Front from 8 November 1914. He was discharged on 5 April 1916.

Claude Harold Brown was born in Sudbury, Suffolk, in November 1893. He served during the Great War with the Suffolk Regiment in the Egyptian theatre of War from 13 August 1915. Remaining in the same theatre, he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in December 1916 and was employed as a Disciplinarian Rigger (Aero).
