William Frederick Mason, an electrician from St. Johns, New Brunswick, was born in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, on 14 July 1890. He attested into the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 9 November 1914 for service during the Great War and served on the Western Front with the 26th (New Brunswick) Battalion, Canadian Infantry. He died of wounds received at Vimy Ridge on 15 April 1917 and is buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension II, France.
