John Marshall Williams, a lineman from Hamilton, Ontario, was born in Brantford, Ontario, on 8 May 1896. He attested into the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 14 October 1917 for service during the Great War and served on the Western Front with the 4th Battalion, Canadian Machine Guns Corps Brigade. He died of wounds on 10 November 1918 and is buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey.
