Henry Edmund Northeast attested for the Rifle Brigade in 1919 and served with them in the inter-War years in Iraq, India, and the Sudan. Advanced Sergeant, he served in ‘I’ Company, 1st Battalion as part of the British Expeditionary Force in France in 1940, and was present at the Defence of Calais.
