Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 2 clasps, Delhi, Relief of Lucknow (Thos. Kelly, 75th Regt.) minor edge bruising, good very fine £350-400

Thomas Kelly was born in Kilcarvan, Co. Roscommon. A labourer by occupation, he attested at Athlone, Westmeath, on 2 November 1846, aged 18 years. For his service in the Indian Mutiny he was awarded the medal with two clasps and granted one years additional service for ‘Alumbagh’. In possession of four Good Conduct Badges, he was discharged at Shorncliffe Camp on 26 May 1868, after 12 years 10 months service in India. Sold with copied service papers and research.
