Claude Cyril Coates was commissioned a Pilot Officer in the Administration and Special Duties Branch on 27 December 1940. Promoted Flying Officer on 27 December 1941, he was transferred to the R.A.F. Regiment in February 1942. Promoted Flight Lieutenant on 24 May 1943, he attained the rank of Squadron Leader on 1 August 1947. In 1951 he was transferred to the Reserve. Sold with some copied service details.
