King’s African Rifles L.S. & G.C., G.VI.R. (10806 Sjt. Taulo, K.A.R.) contact marks and polished, good fine, scarce £180-£220

Taulo was a member of the Ampotola tribe from the Liwonde district of East Africa. He attested in to the King’s African Rifles in January 1916 for service during the Great War and saw service in Nyasaland and East Africa, for which he received the British War and Victory Medals. He was discharged in September 1944 and received his L.S. & G.C. medal the following month.
