Arthur Ivor Griffiths was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Suffolk Regiment, and served with the 12th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 11 January 1917. He was killed in action on 3 August 1917, aged 32, and is buried in Fins New British Cemetery, Sorel-le-Grand, France.
