Nemiah Brown was born at Ultima, New South Wales, Australia, and attested for the Australian Imperial Force at Waitchie, Swan Hill, Victoria. He served with the 23rd Infantry Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front and was killed in action on 1 September 1918. He is buried in Hem Farm Military Cemetery, Hem-Monacu, France.

James Oliver Edlin was born in Streatham, London, on 15 November 1892 and having emigrated to Canada attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force. He served with the 5th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 2 September 1918. He is buried in Sun Quarry Cemetery, Cherisy, France.
