An unearthed ladybird brooch by Cartier, circa 1930, badly damaged, the deteriorated coral body only partially extant, with two of the original diamond ‘spots’ intact, to black enamelled head and legs, to a damaged clip fitting, the mount signed ‘Cartier, London’ and ‘White gold’ and numbered ‘1024’, length 31mm. £200-£300
This brooch was discovered by a metal detectorist near Winchester in March 2024.
