France, Grandes Lignes de Chemin de Fer, 1842, a large heavy bronze medal by J.F.A. Bovy, bust of Louis Philippe I left, rev. central plinth featuring La Loi seated on throne flanked by winged figures of Mercury and Mars, trains steaming from the base, 112mm (Moyaux 121; CGMP p.153; BDM I, 243; Swan 253). An impressive medal, good very fine, rare (£120-150)
