Roman Republican Coinage, Lucius Manlius Torquatus, Denarius, Rome, 65 BC, [–] below head of Sibylla right, wearing an ivy wreath which along with a lock of hair falls down her neck, border of dots, rev. l torquat iii vir either side of Tripod, on which stands amphora between two stars, the whole within a highly ornamented torque, 3.45g/4h (Ghey 225, this coin; Craw. 411/1b; BMCRR 3513-5; RSC Manlia 12). Multiple banker’s marks and graffito on obverse, otherwise well centred and very fine £70-£90
