Roman Republican Coinage, Lucius Roscius Fabatus, Serrate Denarius, 64 BC, l rosci below head of Juno Sospita right, wearing a goat’s skin tied under her chin, control mark in the shape of a bee behind, rev. fabati below female figure standing right, feeding from her dress a serpent standing upright, control mark in the shape of a flower behind, 3.82g/6h (Ghey 226.1, this coin; Craw. 412/1; BMCRR 3405; RSC Roscia 3). Graffito before face on obverse, banker’s mark on reverse otherwise about very fine £60-£80
