Roman Republican Coinage, Quintus Pomponius Musa, Denarius, Rome, 66 BC, laureate head of Apollo, hair tied with band, volumen tied with cord behind, rev. q pomponi mvsa downwards, Clio standing left between legend, holding open scroll in right hand and resting left on column, 3.57g/3h (Ghey 223, this coin; Craw. 410/3; BMCRR 3610-1; RSC Pomponia 11). Banker’s marks to obverse, including ‘V’ on cheek, otherwise nice light patina and well centred, about very fine £90-£120
