Roman Republican Coinage, Quintus Servilius Caepio (M. Junius) Brutus, Denarius, 54 BC, Rome, libertas behind head of Libertas right, hair tied into a knot and jewels in hair above her forehead, rev. brvt[–] in exergue, above the consul Lucius Junius Brutus walking left between two lictors, preceded by an accensus, 3.95g/2h (Ghey 248.1, this coin; Craw. 433/1; BMCRR 3861; RSC Junia 31). Banker’s marks to obverse including ‘S’ in field, otherwise about fine £80-£120
