British Iron Age, CATUVELLAUNI, Cunobelin, AD 8-41, Stater, Wild B type [Class 5], [–]a mv divided by ear of barley with five pairs of grains, stem base with a single short curl attached to the right, rev. cv[–] below, o before horse bounding right with dashes for mane, star and branch above, 5.38g/3h (Ghey 6, this coin; Sills O44/R78r; ABC 2783). Some surface marks and struck off centre, otherwise a nice yellowish gold and very fine £400-£600
