Henri IV, Denier Tournois, 1607, an Essai in brass, bust right, inverted Vs for As in legend, reverse three lis, 17mm, 1.34gm; Louis XIV, Liard, 1655I; Louis XV, Half-Sol, 1724; Louis XVI, Sol, 1784L. [4]. First very fine but pierced, unusual; others fair to fine, all rare (£30-50)

The Half-Sol of 1724 is probably a contemporary forgery, as the cataloguer is led to believe that only two genuine specimens of this date exist
