Charles I (1625-1649), Halfcrown, mm. castle on obv., helmet on rev., w and grass below horseman, rev. crowned square-topped shield, looped garniture at sides, annulets below, 14.05g/2h (Allen B-6; SCBI Brooker 1141, this coin; N 2587; S 3096). Weak in places, otherwise practically as struck and attractively toned, very rare (£2,000-2,500)
