Important British and World Coins

Henry II (1154-1189), Penny, type F1, Raul (?), [ravl] on : s : edmv, dies Vv, 1.38g/8h (Eaglen 72, B729, this coin; BMC –; N 961/1; S 1342). On an irregular flan, nearly very fine and exceedingly rare of these dies, being one of only two recorded specimens, the other acquired by the British Museum from the Elmore Jones Collection (£120-150)
