Thomas Good was born in the Parish of Rugby, in the County of Warwickshire, and enlisted into the 17th Regiment on 5 April 1815, aged 15 years. He served in the Mahratta War in 1817 and 1818 in the 17th Foot; campaigns in Ava in 1824, ’25 & ’26 in the 38th Foot, and was in the East Indies from 5 April 1818 to 31 October 1838. He volunteered, on 2 November 1835, to the 9th Foot, from which regiment he was discharged on 31 October 1838. Sold with copy discharge papers.
