Wilfred Eastwood was born in Cheetham, Lancashire, and living in Reddish, Cheshire, enlisted at Manchester. Serving in the 6th Battalion Border Regiment he died of wounds on 21 August 1917, aged 25 years. He was buried in the Brandhoek New Military Cemetery No. 3, Ieper, West Vlaanderen, Belgium. He was the son of David and Catherine Ann Eastwood of Cheetham Hill, Manchester.
