Private Phillip Mark Stephens, 86th Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C., was awarded the Russian St. George Medal for Bravery 4th Class (London Gazette 25 August 1915). Stephens was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Garrison Artillery Special Reserve on 30 June 1917 and was promoted to Lieutenant on 26 December 1918.
