Samuel Guthrie lived in Kirkonnel and enlisted at Lanark. Serving with the unit he entered the Balkan theatre of war on 11 October 1915. He was killed in action in Gallipoli on 19 November 1915. He was buried in the Pink Farm Cemetery, Helles. Sold with copied research.
