Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (Richard St. George Daly) good very fine £40-50

Richard St. George Daly was born in Kilmachdough, Gort, Co. Galway, and living in Gort, enlisted at Dublin. Serving in the 11th (Prince Albert’s Own) Hussars, he was killed in action, during the 1st Battle of Ypres, on 1 November 1914, aged 27 years. The son of Henry V. Daly, Archdeacon of Clonfert, and Elizabeth Alice Daly (nee St. George) of Deanery, Gort, Co. Galway. He was buried in the La Brique Military cemetery, No.2, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
