Charles I, Memorial, 1649, copper medals (3) by J. Dassier, cuirassed laureate bust left, wearing ermine mantle fastened with a brooch, signed idf below, carolus i d g m br fr et hib rex, rev. The first design, with a slightly smaller bust, was rejected by Dassier himself, on account of the portrait bearing little resemblance to the king.
