Owner’s envelope, “Variety w. finer design on rev., Lahore? Note first letter of Nagari”.

The reverse of this coin is markedly different from the reverses of the two presumed Calcutta coins in the next Lot, quite apart from the variant in the Nagari legend. It does not, however, bear any minute diamond-shaped test marks (see footnote to Lot 1582)
