Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (Major, 43/Co. Imp. Yeo.), second initial re-engraved; King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps (Maj., M.B., I.Y.) slight contact marks, very fine and better (2) £220-260

In the June 1900 Quarterly Army List, Temporary Captain Lea is listed as the Medical Officer at the Imperial Yeomanry Base Depôt. With extract from roll confirming clasps and which states that he saw continuous service in South Africa from May 1900 to the end of the war. He retired with the rank of Major in May 1902. He was later appointed a F.R.C.S.
