Board of Commissioners of Currency Malaya, specimen for a slightly earlier design of 1 Cent, 1 July 1941, maroon serial number A000000, purple and tan, George VI in oval frame at left, value at right, Weisberg signature, ink annotation in top margin ‘approved 21.9.43’, also ink annotation F203 at low right, in PMG holder 67 EPQ, superb gem uncirculated, very rare in this format and interesting to note that this tiny denomination was not actually issued with serial numbers and the entire design was shifted downwards to compensate for this
