A fine North West Frontier 1908 operations I.D.S.M. group of seven awarded to Subadar Mobin Khan, 59th Scinde Rifles, who was severely wounded in the Zakka Khel Expedition - his was the first I.D.S.M. won by his regiment and the only one for the expedition

I.D.S.M. Governor General’s Order 527 of 1908.

Mobin Khan was also mentioned in despatches for his gallantry in Zakka Khel Expedition in February 1908 (
London Gazette 22 May 1908 refers). The 59th Scinde Rifles were hotly engaged at Halwai on 21 February, and twice acted as rearguard to 1st Brigade, Bazaar Valley Field Force.

Khan, who entered the Indian Army in July 1892, and passed the Mounted Infantry Course and Transport Instruction Course, in addition to holding the Musketry Certificate, was advanced to Subadar in April 1910. No further trace of his name had been found after 1917.
