Percy Lawrence Moss was recalled from the Territorial Army Reserve of Officers in September 1939, when appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the Intelligence Corps - advanced to Temporary Captain that December, he presumably qualified for his 1939-45 Star for services in the B.E.F. in 1940. Moss was still serving at the time of his death on 10 March 1946, aged 60 years, and is buried in Southampton Old Cemetery; the above described forwarding box is addressed to his widow Eva at Barton-on-Sea, Hampshire.

Alwyn G. Roberts was born in Caernarvon in September 1903 and enlisted in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps in April 1939. As evidenced by accompanying documentation, he served for much of the War on attachment to the Indian Army Ordnance Corps and Indian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, gaining advancement to Warrant Officer 1st Class; sold with the recipient’s original Soldier’s Service and Pay Book, with portrait photograph, and a large card-mounted group shot of members of Squad 92, Division No. 16, ‘D’ Company at the I.A.O.C. Training Centre, Jubbuldore, July 1942, including Roberts.
