Denis James Major, who was awarded his B.E.M. in respect of services in No. 9171 Serving Echelon, was also mentioned in despatches (
London Gazette 14 June 1945 refers); sold with original Buckingham Palace forwarding letter for his B.E.M., and related registered envelope, addressed to him at ‘71 Blythe Vale, London S.E. 6’, and R.A.F. Record Office forwarding letter for his M.I.D. certificate, dated 1 July 1947.
