D.C.M. London Gazette 14 February 1946 ‘... in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in the field.’

Ivor Henry James Stocks was taken prisoner of war in the Middle East and was held in Stalag IVF, Hartmansdorf Chemnitz camp.

As is not unusual with many awards to ex prisoners of war there is no surviving recommendation for the award of Stocks’ D.C.M., which was likely made for gallantry in the Middle East during the action in which he was captured or possibly subsequently as a prisoner of war.
