Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Sergt., 37th Regt.) with replacement claw; Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., small reverse letters (2431 St. Instr. Musky., 37th Foot) first with heavy contact marks, both with edge bruising, fine and better (2) £220-260

George Huxtable entered the 37th Regiment on 18 April 1844 and was promoted to Corporal in November 1854; Sergeant in December 1857 and Sergeant Instructor of Musketry in June 1863. Served over 10 years in Ceylon and over 3 years in Bengal. Awarded the Indian Mutiny Medal and the Army Long Service Medal with a £5 gratuity. He was discharged at Pembroke Dock on 28 June 1867 having completed 21 years of service. With copied discharge papers.
