The Palais de la Méditerranée, 13-15 Promenade des Anglais, Nice, was constructed in 1927-8 and opened in January 1929. Post-War, the casino fell on troubled times due to mismanagement, following which the original structure was demolished in May 1990. Rebuilt early in the twenty-first century as a luxury hotel and restaurant complex, it is today known as the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée.
