This denomination was used widely throughout the West Indies and is listed in Pridmore under Barbados (Prid. 6); however, the specific denomination is referenced in the Trinidad Order of Government, 5 May 1829, due to a problem with lightweight segments (cut fifths and sixths) entering circulation and creating problems in the marketplace.
