David II (1329-1371), Second coinage, Class D, Groat, class D3, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, ‘Robert II’ head, tressure of six arcs, nothing in spandrels, pellet behind crown, double crosslet stops, reads seotorvm, nothing at end of legend, pellet under vill, ornate a on obv., plain a on rev., 3.55g/4h (cf. SCBI 35, 387-9; cf. B 36, fig. 297; S 5101). Slightly off-centre, good very fine, toned, very rare £300-£360
