Alexander III (1249-1286), Second coinage, Sterling, class Mb2, mm. plain cross, bust left with wider hair, no pellets on points of crown, rev. long cross, four mullets of six points in angles, pellet after rex, 1.37g/10h (cf. SCBI 35, 216; B 65, fig. 181; S 5054). Sometime cleaned, nearly very fine, the reverse variety very rare £100-£120
