Part of the Cross Fourchy group, this coin reuses an old class A die with a late class B Cross Fourchy issue reverse. In all the published literature, this obverse die has always been stated to be used at Aberdeen only. However at some point it was returned to Edinburgh to be used in its now damaged state [note the oval die break between the mouth and sceptre-handle] with an Edinburgh reverse.
