Robert II (1371-1390), Groat, Phase 3/2 mule, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, normal ‘Robert II’ head, tressure of six arcs, trefoils in spandrels, cross on sceptre-handle, b behind head, line below bust, double crosslet stops, nothing after scottorv, crescent and crosslet after dns, plain a both sides, 4.00g/11h (SCBI 35, 458, same dies; B 8, fig. –, same obv. die; S 5132 var.). On a full flan, very fine or better, the variety rare £300-£400
