Athletics, Knutsford Athletic Festival, a uniface shield-shaped award medal by J. Moore, two male athletes in skull caps and breeches supporting arms of Chester, Royal arms and supporters above, tableaux with lists of events in background, back named (Knutsford Athletic Festival 1863, Won by W. Holmes, For Scoring Most Points in Boxing, Fencing & Gymnastics, June 16, 1863), 59 x 47mm. Back partly stained (perhaps the result of an old sticky label), otherwise good very fine, attractive and very rare; with clip, ring and ribbon (£60-80)
