John Shirley Shirley-Fox, RBA (1860-1939), vice-president of the BNS 1915-16, received the gold medal of the Society for his contribution to the paper written in conjunction with his brother, H.B. Earle Fox, on the numismatic history of the reigns of Edward I, II and III
