British Medals from the Collection of James Spencer

Scottish Horticultural Association, 1887, silver award medals by A. Kirkwood (2, different), named (R.T. Rae, for Collection of Culinary Vegetables, 1896), and adapted from an 1897 Diamond Jubilee design, edge impressed (6th Prize 20 Vases Chrysanthemums in 20 Vars. 3 Blooms in Each), both 51mm (Brodie –; W & E –) [2]. First very fine, with clip and ring for suspension, second virtually as struck with grey tone and very rare £100-150
