Greek Coinages, Syracuse: Hemidrachm, struck under the Second Democracy, c. 415-10

Obverse: charioteer driving fast quadriga right, wreath-bearing Nike flying left above; two dolphins confronted in exergue

Reverse: συρακοσιον: head of Arethusa left, her hair bound by sakkos and sphendone; framed by two dolphins swimming around

Metal: silver; Attic weight standard; 2.09g/2h
