Roman Republican Coinage, Manius Cordius Rufus, Denarii (3), Rome, 46 BC, rvfvs iii vir behind jugate head of the Dioscuri right, each wearing pilei decorated with fillet, surmounted by stars, rev. mn cordivs downwards right of Venus Verticordia standing left, holding scales in right hand and sceptre in left, Cupid perched on shoulder, 3.54g/6h (Ghey 278, this coin; Craw. 463/1b; BMCRR 4039; RSC Cordia 1; Sear 63a); together with others of similar type (2), 3.63g/11h, 3.73g/3h (Ghey 275.4 and 277, these coins) [3]. Similar to our ivc example, perhaps tf is the initial of the banker who punched this coin, or may even allude to the bank’s location.
