Roman Republican Coinage, Cnaeus Cornelius Lentulus Marcellinus, Denarius, mint possibly in Spain, 76-5 BC, g p r above bust of draped and diademed Genius Populi Romani right, bearded, sceptre behind rev. s c in field, cn len q below globe between a rudder on the right and a sceptre, to which is attached a laurel-wreath with fillet, on the left, 3.53g/6h (Ghey 209, this coin; Craw. 393/1a; BMCRR Spain 52-4; RSC Cornelia 54). Banker’s mark ‘x’ to obverse behind Genius’ eye, otherwise very fine £40-£60
