Roman Imperial Coinage, Augustus (27 BC-AD 14), Denarius, Lugdunum, 2 BC-AD 4, caesar avgvstvs divi f pater patriae around laureate head of Augustus right, rev. [–] l caesares in exergue, avgvsti f cos desig princ ivve[–] around Gaius and Lucius Caesar standing front, each togate and resting hand on shields, behind each is a spear upright, in field between simpulum left and lituus right, 3.73g/11h (Ghey 372.12, this coin; BMC 519-35; RIC 207; RSC 43). Die-break on reverse at 10 o’clock, otherwise well centred and good fine £90-£120
