Contemporary forgeries made with an iron core would usually not survive being left underground for so long, however this one has due to the nature of it’s finding. Single finds 388-393 were found stuck together, and this coin is almost definitely the reason behind this. The coin has been restored and this is how we discovered the iron deposits around the finds originated from this coin, rather than from the soil itself.
