Dominica, Black Dogg (valued at Three-Halfpence), a counterfeit French Cayenne 2 Sous, 1782a, centrally pierced with a small diamond-shaped hole, 1.09g/16.8 gr (Prid. 33 [Sale, lot 303, this coin]; KM. –). Corroded, about fine, extremely rare £30-50

Provenance: Found on Dominica; F. Pridmore Collection, Part I, Glendining Auction, 21-2 September 1981, lot 303.

The attribution is based on the find-spot; the hole would appear to have been made with the tip of a nail
