Mossop, three robed females standing at right, sun shining from temple at left, rev. acquaint thyself with god & be at peace, etc, named (Adjudged…to Frances Eliza Gamble), 39mm (BHM 364; E 847; MG 940; BDM VIII, 81; Frazer p.452). Fine, very rare; with integral suspension loop (£100-150)

The Association was instituted on 9 October 1792; Strickland’s list of works by William Mossop gives the date of 1796 for the medals, which were given as prizes for catechetical examinations
