Arthur Dupon, sculptor and son of the medallist Josuë Dupon (1864-1935); his medallic work, which mostly spans the period 1950-70, is infrequently met with. The Kruisschanssluis, 270 metres in length and 35 metres wide, was opened by King Albert and Queen Elisabeth on 31 August 1928
